Frumgirl 1: Field Guide for Jews

I think I might publish one.

Page 2: Picture of Bobov Chassid, pointing to distinguishing features like peiyos, headgear, haircut, dress, etc.

Page 4: Modern Orthodox guy, pointing out the pants, yarmulka, haircut, and posture.

And so on and so forth.

Some non-frummies just don’t see the differences. It’s like saying all black people look the same. Or all Indian folk, except less comical.

It takes months for people to figure out that the Hassid dude and myself have some pretty significant differences with regard to religious and familial practices.

Myself, more than the other frummies in the program. Go figure. I must appear more religious than I am.

It’s gotta be all the black I wear.
